Good bye!

I think it is time to sort of close this blog. I am tempted to delete it, but will not do that, however I will not post anything new here.

A special somebody motivated me to take up photography more seriously than before. No jokes ;) So I started posting pictures on other sites. If you are interested you can follow the links below: my flickr page, and my fotocommunity page.

And also, if you are interested in the anonymous blog that I was writing during my field mission in South Sudan follow this link: in south sudan.

Good night and good luck!

Cheers,
E

Sri Lanka

Here are some older pictures from Sri Lanka that I was always lazy to upload. The pictures were taken in Arugam bay, a school in Ampara district and Nuwara Eliya.

Transnistria

A tank in one of the main squares of the city.
"For parents" it is written on the tank. A couple of meters away
are the monuments of those who died in the armed conflict with Moldova.

Familiar:)?

We could not guess what is it and did not feel so safe taking
photos of this building. Quite likely it is the headquearters of the Supreme Soviet.

A board for excellent eployees on the wall of a factory.

A Transnistrean shopping centre.

Bilingual: Romanian and Russian, but Romanian
written with cyrillic.

The poster of a democratic party.
I can't help wondering what Che is doing there...

The train station in Tiraspol looks amazing, it was just recently
finished. This is the schedule of the trains.
Too bad that no train ever left the new station:
Transnistria is landlocked between Moldova and Ukraine.

We've visited Transnistria a couple of days ago when we were in Moldova. It is worth to say, that it was quite an experience to be there. When we will have a bit of time, we'll write a short description about how it was to cross a border that doesn't exist and about other interesting experiences in the de facto state.
